The teaching staff of Samuel Staples Elementary school is dedicated to being an integral part of the community of learners that make up our school. This means a genuine commitment on behalf of the teachers and administration to continue their own professional growth and education.

Teachers at Staples use their classrooms as laboratories of creative learning, and they attend HOT Summer Institutes to hear about new techniques for integrating the arts into subjects like math and history.

The elementary faculty currently consists of 42 certified staff members. All staff members are becoming highly technology-literate. Integrating all disciplines and utilizing technology helps our faculty and students gain new perspectives and benefit from unlimited resources which technology and collaboration affords.

The teaching staff is comfortable partnering with parents and resident artists to enhance the learning experience for our students.

The needs of every child comes first. Each child is nurtured and challenged to excel. Easton Public schools has a Curriculum Master Plan which has been developed through the joint efforts of many members of our teaching and administrative staff. One of the most important goals of the Curriculum Master Plan is to develop learners who can think independently. We recognize that in order to achieve this goal we must strengthen critical thinking skills. The staff of Samuel Staples Elementary school presents the students with the tools necessary to analyze real life situations, and encourage the development of higher-order thinking skills. We are committed to meeting and addressing the unique needs of all of our students, including the learning disabled and the gifted.

The climate of our school is such that the development of children into caring, responsible citizens is given great emphasis. As students attend a HOT performance and watch the creative efforts of their classmates they are expected to be respectful. In their dealings with others they are expected to be kind, and to treat others as they would like to be treated.
