Departure or Arrival day

DEPARTURE   Please bring or car pool your child to school on Monday May 20th, NO EARLIER than 8:45 a.m. and NO LATER than 9:00 a.m. We will be loading the baggage onto the buses in front of the school. You are welcome to stay and wave good-bye, but please park in the lower parking lot after the baggage and your child has been unloaded. Please unload quickly as we will be dealing with over 127 students going on this trip.

Here is how it works:

-Luggage is dropped off in front of school

-Child reports directly to their homeroom for headcount

-Parents are to park in the lower parking lot and are invited to wait in front of the building to wave goodbye.

-Once all students are accounted for, we will have the children load their bags and board the busses.

The busses may be waiting when you arrive, DO NOT board the bus - have your child go directly to their homeroom. DO NOT 'go to' the busses; they may be parked in different locations around the school waiting for the front of the building to clear. Leave bags in front of the school and students should go directly to their homeroom.

RETURN      We shall return to school on Thursday, May 23rd. Please be here by 1:30 p.m. so that we can unload the buses and send the fifth grade students home BEFORE our regular busses arrive. Once again we must insist that you park in the lower lot..

Please be PROMPT in dropping off and picking up your child. Nothing is much sadder than the face of an eleven-year-old who has gone off for four days and is then left waiting for a ride home.

Again, we emphasize, NO food of any kind and NO electrical or battery operated toys or appliances. Battery operated watches will be permitted. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN DEALING WITH THESE TWO MATTERS. Do not put yourself, your child, and us in the embarrassing situation of having to return 'contraband' after the trip is over. Thank you.
