You will work
in groups of three in the following roles:
1. Blind
folder/observer
2. Teacher
3. Pupil
Blind folder/observer’s
role: Blindfold
the pupil with a scarf. As the lesson progresses, watch both
participants intently. Be prepared to report on their actions, gestures,
and apparent moods.
Teacher’s role:
Read the task sheet carefully. You have five minutes in which to
teach your pupil the assigned task. YOU MAY NOT SPEAK OR USE ANY SOUNDS.
Your pupil must be able to perform the task independently at the end of
the lesson.
Pupil’s role: You
will not be able to see, nor will you hear any instructions. You must
figure out the task and complete it on your own at the end of five
minutes.
