Life is perhaps an
ever-changing set of visions of goals we wish to achieve.
Generic to the acquisition of these goals are the proper
organizational, cognitive and manipulative skills.
In addition, one needs an understanding of sequential processing
and a set of productive attitudes.
In Industrial
Arts, we address the above construct, within a tangible hands-on
framework. Hopefully, this
will enable the students to become more aware of their strengths and
weaknesses, and to transfer this insight into other areas of their
lives.
The mediums we
usually employ are wood and some plastics.
The program is highly structured with sequential products.
Individual expression and creativity are encouraged as students
personalize their products.
